Personalize Your Life

About 4 months ago, we decided to close our tanning salon. So, I have been looking for a part-time job since then, with no luck. We had a company that we purchased purses, bags, etc. from to sell in our salon. I have decided to continue selling their products and they now have a website set up for me to tell my customers. It is www.personalizeyourlife.com/name/rambusch. Here are some pictures of some of the things they offer.

I've had great success selling these products before, so hopefully I won't have to get a part-time job after all. :)

Change of Plans

Well, I was planning on having a table set up at a local Fall Festival yesterday, but my new nephew decided to show up Friday so I had to watch his brother and sister. Needless to say, I didn't get all my sewing done due to having to babysit. BUT, it was worth it. Isn't he cute?!?!?!?!

I had planned on having a table set up with rag bags/purses. I will post a pic of them once they are all finished. Then, I'll have them for sale in my etsy shop since I wasn't able to go this weekend.

The Grocery Game!

Hi everyone! I'm still here! I have been extremely busy with work that I haven't had the time to post anything lately. Today I wanted to tell you about The Grocery Game. If you have not tried this you MUST! You will save loads of money on your groceries, toiletries, etc. For example, I purchased $67 worth of products yesterday from both Wal-Greens and Bi-Lo (our local grocery store) and only spent $21. Can you believe it! And it is all products that we use. I didn't buy things that our family doesn't use just to save money on them. :) Here's what you do. I have added a new widget to the right of my blog. You can click on it and change the zip code to yours, so that you will be able to see the stores in your area. You can sign up for a 4 week free trial. Anytime during that trial period, you can cancel if you are not happy. I personally don't see that happening, but you can. If you decide to try this out, PLEASE tell them I sent you. My email address is arambusch@gmail.com and my name is Aleisha Rambusch. I'm not sure what they will ask for exactly but my name and email should be enough. What happens is, for every 3 people who sign up, you get 12 weeks free! So, tell them I sent you, then tell all of your friends. Have them say you sent them, and you will receive free weeks. I have done this program in the past and loved it. I got sidetracked with life and stopped doing it. Now with the price of groceries going through the roof, I thought this was the perfect time to start again. Don't forget, it doesn't hurt to try it for the 4-week trial period to see if you like it and see how much money you save. Read through the website for all of the details, like what day of the week the list for your stores will be posted and so on. Go ahead....start saving!!!

Rag Quilt Wall Hanging

Today I finished a rag quilt/wall hanging for a customer. She is giving it to her sister (who has cancer) for Valentine's Day. The picture is not the greatest and doesn't show the true colors, but I wanted to show it to you. It's approximately 16.5 x 27.5 inches.

I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!

Update

I just wanted to update everyone on Abby. This is a recent picture of her. She is now home. She does have a gastric tube for feedings, but that is all. She is definitely a miracle baby.

We did a BBQ fundraiser for her and her family last Saturday. We contacted a local company who donated all of the food. We have raised a total of $1992, including the quilt raffle. I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to help Abby and for your prayers.

Quilt Raffle - Fundraiser for Abby Rose

I have decided to raffle off this flower rag quilt as a fundraiser for Abby Rose. I posted info on Abby a week or so ago. You can see more about her here on her Pray for Abby Rose Facebook page.

This quilt is approximately 4 feet by 4 feet. It has 2 layers of cotton fabric with flannel in the middle. It has been washed once to begin the ragging process. It will rag more with every wash.

So, here are the details. If you are interested in purchasing an entry for this fundraiser, all you have to do is click the donate button on the top right of the blog. Entries are $2 each or 7 for $10. So, you will get one entry in the raffle for every $2 you donate or 7 entries for every $10 you donate. I will keep track of who donates and how many entries you have through PayPal, but please feel free to email me and let me know if you have sent a donation.
I would also like to ask a favor of everyone. Please post a link to my blog so others can learn more about Abby and her family and give them a chance to win this quilt.
Please help me in raising money for this beautiful little girl and her family.

Here is Abby with her 2 older sisters, Emily and Chloe.

E-Reader Case

Happy New Year! I'm a few days late, but it's been crazy for me since right before Christmas. I'm finally settling down a bit. I did want to show you a few pictures of an e-reader case that I made last week. My husband and daughter gave me an Amazon Kindle for Christmas and I already have a case, but I was curious to see if I could make one. :)

I will probably end up putting it on etsy. So, without further ado, here are the pics.
